The business aviation field is awash in charter and ownership programs.
Indeed, it seems there as many different programs as there are operators:
On Demand Charter, Block Time Charter, Jet Card, Fractional Ownership
and Full ownership are just few of the programs and each has several
sub-sets.
That said, the widely accepted guideline for charter versus ownership
still makes sense. If you are flying 75 hours or less annually,
On Demand or Block Time Charter is probably your best option. Beyond
75 hours, the landscape changes and with it your choices and the
programs to fulfill those choices.
Jimsair offers Shared Ownership in a business jet. We have chosen
the 2007 Premier IA, a state-of-the-art aircraft with light-jet
economy, but sporting a mid-size cabin and amenities. Jimsair’s
program envisions no more than 3 owners per aircraft and the plane
enrolled in Jimsair’s ARG/US Platinum Part 135 Charter program.
As a shared owner, the following points apply:
· your aircraft activity is now revenue generating not expense
generating,
· you may to use any aircraft in Jimsair’s fleet, from
King Air 200/350’s to the long-range Hawker 700A at reduced
rates,
· you get light jet economy with mid jet comfort,
· you have potential tax and depreciation benefits,
· you deal with a smaller, but equally professional, operator
to whom you are a valued customer, not a number,
· you own part of an “Under Warranty” airplane,
· you have security knowing Jimsair is ARG/US Platinum rated
for aviation operations quality and safety.
